West Bengal BJP President Dilip Ghosh launched an attack on TMC MP Nursat Jahan over her marital status, saying she had “shamed” Indian culture.

“Nusrat Jahan is a female MP. She has shamed Indian culture by applying ‘sindoor’, addressing a man like her husband and inviting the CM to her ‘boubhat’ (reception) and now she says that she is not married “, ANI reported him as telling reporters.

“It may be the ideology of Saguta Babu (TMC MP) and not the ideology of India or Bengal. The party should suspend her or she must resign,” demanded Ghosh.

Popular Tollywood heroine and Congresswoman from Trinamool Nusrat Jahan claimed on Wednesday that her marriage to businessman Nikhil Jain was not a legal marriage but a home relationship as their marriage in Turkey was not was not recognized by Indian law.

Jahan, who has reportedly been dating recently with actor and congress poll candidate Yash Dasgupta, said in a statement that since his marriage ceremony with Jain took place in accordance with Turkish marriage regulations , marriage is invalid here.
