Nixi announces free reservation of Indian script domain names until January 31 – The New Indian Express

NEW DELHI: The National Internet Exchange of India (Nixi) announced on Friday the free reservation of Indian script website names this month.

The free domain name in Indian language scripts like Devanagiri, Marathi, Punjabi, Kannada, Tamil, among others, will be available for those who renew their “.in” extension website this month, Nixi said in a statement.

“The requester will also receive a free email in the local language. This offer was created to stimulate the adoption of the domain name Bharat (in Devanagari script) and the proliferation of local language content,” he said. added.

Separately, Jaipur-based XgenPlus has claimed to be Nixi’s partner for providing messaging services.

However, Nixi did not provide any immediate comment on the partnership.

“This is our proud moment to have a collaboration with Nixi and empower Bharat domains with the Made in India XgenPlus corporate messaging platform.

“We will continue to support domain names by providing them with world-class messaging services and bringing millions of people online,” said Ajay Data, Founder and CEO of Xgenplus.

“All public sector companies and government departments should now acquire new domain names, promote language names and break down language barriers,” Data added.
