MyGov, the Indian government’s citizen engagement platform, in partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education, has launched an innovation challenge for the creation of an Indian language learning app. This innovation challenge was launched to advance Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of celebrating India’s cultural diversity through greater interaction between its constituent parts.
MyGov launched the Innovation Challenge to create an app that will allow individuals to learn simple sentences of any Indian language and gain working knowledge of a language. The objective of this challenge is to create an app that will promote regional language literacy, thus creating a better cultural understanding within the country. The key parameters that will be examined will include ease of use, simplicity, graphical user interface, gamification features, user interface, user experience, and premium content, which make it easy and fun to use. learning an Indian language.
The Innovation Challenge is open to individuals, startups and Indian companies. MyGov envisions the app as being multi-modular, with the ability to teach through written, voice and video / visual. The Innovation Challenge ends on May 27, 2021. After evaluation of the prototype submission, the 10 best teams will be invited to make presentations and the best 3 will be selected by a jury. The first 3 will receive funding of 20, 10 and 5 lakhs INR to improve the applications. The solutions would be evaluated based on general parameters such as innovation, scalability, usability, interoperability, ease of deployment / deployment and campaign.
